1. Introduction of members and guests.
2. Additions or changes to the agenda.
3. Guests wishing to speak on matters under the Site Council jurisdiction.
4. Technology/Chromebook status review - Ukiah High School issued Chromebooks to all students at the beginning of the school year. Utilizing technology to enhance student learning is an ongoing commitment. Over the past two years about 30% of the teaching staff has attended out of district conferences focusing on technology use in the schools. This agenda item provides an opportunity to discuss progress, concerns, and ideas as we move ahead.
5. Scheduling 2017-18 - This agenda item provides an update on the development of the 2017-18 schedule including what the student registration process indicates about prior student placement, current student achievement, future program development, and personnel recruitment.
6. PBIS: Update on focus words - In our February meeting the Site Council participated in an exercise to identify key words capturing the spirit and/or focus of UHS. Since that meeting a number of other groups have participated in the same exercise. This agenda item provides an opportunity to consider the findings of the other groups and discuss next steps in this process.
7. Student Engagement Survey - Ukiah High School is looking at developing a survey regarding student engagement in their learning and campus culture. In addition to being an aspect of our WASC Action Plan goal regarding campus culture, the purpose of this survey is to guide our work regarding instructional strategies and development of learning facilities such as makerspaces and classroom resources.
