Environmental Earth Science
Course Description
Environmental Science is the study of the chemical, biological and physical factors of our earth/environment that positively or negatively impact earth systems and human health. It encompasses the analysis, assessment and control of those environmental factors in our air, water, soil, homes and workplaces, and is targeted towards preventing disease and creating healthy environments.
In this course, students will engage in scientific inquiry into environmental science & health issues and develop problem-solving skills for improving health at the local, regional and global levels. In addition curriculum will analyze ways to reduce the burden of human illness and dysfunction from environmental causes by understanding each of these elements and how they interrelate.
