Principal’s Wildcat Watch - From Dr. Alvarez
Today was the last full school day of 2024-2025. We are one week away from the commencement ceremony for the class of 2025! Please see the link above for important information regarding graduation, which includes a reminder to not bring confetti cannons, noise makers, air horns, or similar items to the ceremony. This is so that we can ensure there are no distractions from families hearing their students’ names being called and all students are given the same opportunity to be celebrated. Thank you in advance for not bringing these items to our ceremony.
For families of returning students, one way to keep in the know over summer is to follow us on Instagram: @UkiahHSWildcats. Your email address and our website are other ways we will communicate with families over summer. Below are some important dates for summer!

Announcements & Information
Class of 2026 & 2027: summer opportunities
There are some amazing opportunities for students to get a jumpstart on their 11th/12th grade years, college and career applications, etc. through two FREE summer programs. See the flyers below for more information, and take advantage of these FREE opportunities.
Important Chromebook Information
9th-11th grade students will be able to keep their Chromebooks over the summer. Please keep in mind students will be responsible for any damages that occur over the summer. If there are any issues relating to the Chromebook, please reach out to the UHS Tech department and schedule a time to get the Chromebook fixed (ext 5757 & 5862).
Yearbook Information
Yearbook distribution has begun! Beginning Monday, please pick up your yearbook at the Student Activities office.
Online sales have closed, and we have a very limited number of extra yearbooks available for purchase. Yearbooks can be purchased at Student Activities ($100 cash or check). Checks should be made out to UHS with a note “yearbook” in the memo. Students must present your receipt from student activities to be issued a book. DO NOT LOSE YOUR RECEIPT!
Once we sell out, we will close sales at the Student Activities office. Please note: as of this newsletter, we have less than 10 yearbooks available. We cannot “hold” books for any reason.
New Bell Schedule for 2025-2026
We are excited to share with you our bell schedule for next year! There are some great things about this new schedule, and we will continue to work with students and families to adjust. We would like to thank the staff, parents, and students for participating in the process over the course of this year. Particular thank you to the families that provided feedback through this Friday newsletter in December and to those that serve on the School Site Council for providing feedback along the way.
Here is our new bell schedule: UHS 2025-2026 Bell Schedule

Summer School
Summer school enrollment is for Ukiah Unified School District high school students who are identified as credit deficient. Students may earn up to 10 credits. Courses will be offered in person at Ukiah High School either through classroom instruction or guided instruction using Cyber High. Students should work closely with their academic counselor to prioritize the course they take.
Parents will be notified if their child is selected to attend summer school and classroom assignments will be posted the first day of summer school. Transportation may be limited and is not guaranteed.
The high school summer school program includes directed study, which is a support for students with disabilities who need credit recovery for graduation.
* Extended School Year (ESY) services will also be provided during the summer. Students who qualify for ESY will receive a separate ESY Summer application with more details.
