Class of 2028: You're about to be a high schooler, and Wildcat Nation's Summer Academy program is here to help you succeed and get you excited about being in high school! 

(Ukiah, California, 3/12/2024) Ukiah High School is thrilled to announce the opening of applications for its renowned Summer Academy program, designed to equip incoming 9th graders with the tools for success as they enter Wildcat Nation.

Ready to embark on this exciting journey? The application process is now open and accessible via the Ukiah High website and the Ukiah Unified School District Facebook page. Students can also access the application directly at https://forms.gle/BejVDqX5HahVQLBu9

At Summer Academy, students are provided a crash course into success at Ukiah High. From getting acquainted with their future teachers to navigating the campus layout, understanding high school and college readiness, and learning strategies for excelling as freshmen, participants will emerge well-prepared for their high school adventure.

But that's not all! Summer Academy offers a unique opportunity for students to explore Ukiah High's Career Technical Education offerings. In previous years, attendees have engaged in hands-on experiences such as tire changing in our Auto Shop, crafting wine racks in our Welding Shop, and mastering the basics of construction in our Woodshop.

Beyond honing practical skills, Summer Academy provides glimpses into potential career paths through field trips to nearby college campuses. From UC Berkeley to Mendocino College, students will have the chance to envision the myriad possibilities awaiting them in higher education.

Mark your calendars! Summer Academy will run from July 29th-August 8th 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Nutritious meals will be provided for students during their time on campus.
