Advanced Placement Physics
Course Description
This course is organized to bring together the fundamental science principles and theories of general physics.
The course is intended to encourage students to think about physics concepts as interconnected pieces of a puzzle. The solution to the puzzle is how the real world around them actually works.
This class is designed to be the equivalent of an introductory college course in physics. The student must be motivated, self-starting, practice critical thinking, an avid reader, a problem-solver, have excellent writing skills and good attendance.
Recommended Coursework: Concurrent enrollment or completion of Trigonometry and Physics
Prerequisite: Completion of Biology & Chemistry with C or better in all semesters, Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
