Video Game Design
Pathway Description
This high school game design program introduces students to the fundamentals of game development with Godot, starting with simple 2D games and progressing to advanced 3D projects. In Introduction to Game Design, students learn basic programming concepts, game mechanics, collision detection, and user interface design while creating their own games. Advanced Game Design builds on these skills, challenging students to incorporate advanced features like physics, animations, and game logic using GDScript. Collaborative group projects encourage teamwork and real-world problem-solving, while both courses emphasize creativity and technical skills, preparing students for future careers in game development and other similar industries.
